On Saturday, October 8th, it was a pleasure for Michigan Clergy Connects to be a part of the Annual Faith and Blue Weekend, sponsored by the National Organization of Law Enforcement Executives. My pastor, Bishop Edgar Vann is the national chaplain for this organization and the event was held at the 2nd Ebenezer Church. Several clergy and faith leaders were in attendance along with city officials and law enforcement executives. Michigan Clergy Connects took advantage of being a part of the church and the law enforcement community. It was our pleasure to attend the event and to have a robust discussion concerning gun violence prevention and gun security. NOBLE gave away one-hundred-gun locks to the community. In addition, we also discussed voter registration and engagement within our community.
